Review- Crate FlexWave FW65 Guitar Amp Combo w/DSP, 65W Single 12 Speaker

Crate FlexWave FW65 Guitar Amp Combo with DSP, 65W Single 12 SpeakerAbout a month ago, I and a close friend decided to form a band for the university band contest. So, I was searching for an amp that would release the great sound quality of my electric guitar and I came across this cool amp combo at the shop. It was marked Crate FlexWave FW65 Guitar Amp Combo (w/DSP, 65W Single 12 Speaker), and after some tries, I went home with it. It is no doubt, I got a good amp combo in my hands. My guitar really sounded rich and smooth as it went out of its 12” speaker. I couldn’t believe at first how this amp could give such precise tone but it did! It was just amazing.

Me and my friend tried it at his home-studio and he liked it too. He was pleased as I was with its 3-channel operation that you can easily switch using comfortably with a remote footswitch. From clean to dirty to saturated channels and an amazing 18DSP effects that add separate delay, reverb and modulation to every sound. This Crate amp can enliven every gig! What I like most in this guitar amp is its Channel Tracking technology. It instantly saves my effect setting for every channel and recalls it as I switch back from another channel. I could set it at different channels and switch as I want without stopping to reset it again.

My leads were extremely cool with its 3-band EQ onboard, they sounded just the right way I wanted it to be. What I have seems to be a reinvention of an old-school solid state amp into a cool, contemporary tone “maker” machine that suits my music. Producing a wide range of tone from crystal clear sounds to white-knuckle distortions, my amp proved the best there is.
